(MENAFN- Saudi Press Agency) Khartoum, December 23, 2021, SPA – The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Rescue Center (KSrelief) delivered a shipment of health and environmental aid to Sudan on Tuesday weighing more than 46 tons, including 232 generators to support health facilities, medicines, vaccines, insecticide spraying devices and thousands of insecticide-saturated mosquito nets, among others.
The aid was handed over at Khartoum International Airport in the presence of Saudi Ambassador to Sudan Ali bin Hassan Jaafar, Sudanese officials and a rescue team.
Acting Federal Under Secretary for Health Dr Haitham Mohammed Ibrahim expressed gratitude to the government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for its continued support to Sudan, noting that this shipment is an extension of previous aid offered by Saudi Arabia via KSrelief to support the health system and combat the coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19) in Sudan, commending the efforts of KSrelief which have made it one of the pioneering centers internationally in the field of humanitarian work .
This assistance is part of the implementation of the generous directives of the leaders of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to support the Sudanese people in all circumstances and at all times, where this assistance highlights the strong brotherly ties between the two countries and peoples. .
