Seth Anandram Jaipuria Group of Schools launches health education program in collaboration with STTAR

Seth Anandram Jaipuria Group of Schools, in collaboration with Saamarthya Teachers Training Academy of Research (STTAR), Ghaziabad, virtually launched their health education program for schools on Friday, September 17, 2021.

The Health Education Program is a comprehensive program that aims to instill and nurture health awareness in students in Grades 1 through 12. It was virtually kicked off by CBSE Secretary Anurag Tripathi, who was the guest of honor at the event.

Launching the program, Anurag Tripathi said, “Producing this health program for students, teachers and parents is a very thoughtful initiative in this time of pandemic. The goal of the National Education Policy 2020 is to create good human beings. This can be achieved by changing the paradigm of classroom pedagogy to introduce new components for the development and physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health of students. I took this health education program. It touches on all aspects of child development. I wish to see this program implemented in schools across India and reach thousands of students and teachers. If this program is provided to us, we will do our best to pass it on to every teacher and student in this country. “

The launch of the health education program was graced by the presence of the guest of honor, Dr Muffazal Lakdawala, a renowned bariatric surgeon and founder of the Digestive Health Institute by Dr Muffi. Speaking about the importance of creating and promoting health awareness, he said, “Health is the mental and social well-being of an individual. The right time to introduce the health education program is now. And the right place to introduce it is in our schools. It is a step in the right direction. “

Speaking earlier, special guest of the ceremony, Dilip Thakore, founding editor-in-chief of Education World, addressed the issue of insufficient funding for health and education and complimented the idea of ​​introducing the school health education program. “This program fills a very important gap in the education system. Without health, you cannot have a satisfactory education. They are two sides of the same coin, ”he said.

The launching ceremony began at 4 p.m. with a welcoming speech by Harish Sanduja, school director of the Seth Anandram Jaipuria group of educational institutions, followed by a moving invocation of the goddess Saraswati by the students of the Seth school. Anandram Jaipuria.

The hour-long event ended with a vote of thanks from Sushma Raturi, Member Secretary, Academic Council, STTAR. Raturi, along with a team of teachers and experts, played a central role in creating the health education program.

The Health Education Program is the latest transformative reform introduced by the Seth Anandram Jaipuria group of educational institutions, in collaboration with the Saamarthya Teachers Training Research Academy (STTAR), Ghaziabad. The program consists of eight elements that cover all aspects of an individual’s health and fitness. These elements are: Nutrition and Fitness, Hygiene and Wellness, Disease Control and Prevention, Safety and First Aid, Community and Environmental Health, Mental and Emotional Health, Addiction and Prevention, Adolescent Education.

The main schools of the Seth Anandram Jaipuria group have already started to implement the health education program. It is hoped that the program will be implemented beyond the schools of the Jaipuria group and usher in a new change in the education system.
